Continental Shelf
The Continental Shelf is a sloping, shallow area of the ocean floor that extends outward from the edge of a continent. It borders each continent and its size varies from a few kilometers to as much as 1,300 kilometers. At the depth of 130 meters, the slope of the ocean floor gets deeper.
